Built in 1914, the 4000-seat Church of the Open Door was conceived by R. A. Torrey who had come to Los Angeles to start a Bible institute (now known as Biola University) similar to Moody Bible Institute. Other pastors have included Louis T. Talbot (1932–1948) and J. Vernon McGee (1949–1970). The church is strictly non-denominational, though Evangelical. Its mission was to reach the lost of Los Angeles, which was reflected in the name ‘Church of the Open Door’ based on two passages of Scripture:

The Columbia encampment has also tried, without any authority to do so, to keep out journalists. Columbia University seems to be leading the pack in what are some of the most violent antisemitic protests. These are very reminiscent of the BLM and Antifa protests, and that is because they are probably the same kids marching and chanting, but it went from BLM to PLM (P for Palestine.)
It really doesn’t take long to see that these protests are not spontaneous or founded on any truth. Many of the campuses are occupied by a group of people who are all sleeping in similar tents. Did they call each other in the morning and ask, “What color is your tent today?” Maybe somebody bought them the tents and the printed signs. Maybe they are funded by people with deep pockets.
Yet, this is not what worries me the most about this new wave of entitled youngsters speaking up against a conflict they understand nothing about.

The 46th president seemed incredulous that the 45th president "described the Dobbs decision as a 'miracle.' Maybe it's coming from that Bible he's trying to sell. Whoa. I almost wanted to buy one just to see what the hell is in it."
