THE RIGHT STUFF, WND — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is condemning President Obama’s decision to wage war in Syria, despite White House claims of documented proof President Bashar al-Assad used chemical weapons against his own people.
Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, unloads on Obama in a Facebook post titled: “Let Allah sort it out.”
“Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his ‘red line’ promise regarding chemical weapons,” Palin wrote.Palin argues the U.S. has “no clear mission in Syria” and Obama has not yet laid out a persuasive case for American military intervention amid a “centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime.”
“If our invasion of Iraq wasn’t enough of a deterrent to stop evil men from using chemical weapons on their own people, why do we think this will be?” asked Palin.
She blasts Obama’s plan to “punish evil acts in the form of a telegraphed air strike’ and says the president’s war plan “has given Assad enough of a heads-up that he’s reportedly already placing human shields at targeted sites.”
Palin also questions what the ultimate American goal in Syria would be.
“So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot?” Palin asked. “President Obama wants America involved in Syria’s civil war pitting the antagonistic Assad regime against equally antagonistic Al Qaeda affiliated rebels. But he’s not quite sure which side is doing what, what the ultimate end game is, or even whose side we should be on.”
Thousands of Palin’s Facebook followers weighed in on her comments. Among the responses:
• “Why does it look like Obama is always on the side of the radical Islamist?”
• “She lives in America, and she is free to speak, even if Ozombies don’t like it!”
• “Right on! The slaughter is horrific, but it is not our civil war.”
• “There is no one in the political arena that is as real and as dead on as Sarah Palin. I love Ted Cruz, but he can’t reach those that Sarah Palin can. She ‘IS’ America. I love this woman like I loved Reagan.”
Palin’s Facebook posts were published prior to Obama’s Rose Garden speech Saturday afternoon in which he announced he will wait for congressional authorization to punish Syria for a chemical-weapons attack, even though he has decided a military strike is needed.
“I’m confident we can hold the Assad regime accountable for their use of chemical weapons, deter this kind of behavior, and degrade their capacity to carry it out,” said Obama.
The president also announced U.S. military forces are positioned in the region to strike at his command.
Soon after the president made those remarks, House Republican leaders announced that they would take up Obama’s request after returning to Washington Sept. 9.
Senate Democrats say they will begin to hold hearings and ask for more briefings from the administration this week, with an eye to holding a final vote sometime next week. That puts the House and Senate on the same timetable.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said prospects for approval in the Democrat-controlled Senate were good, but that there was a better-than-even chance the Republican-led House of Representatives would say no.
“I think all of the bad things you can imagine are all more likely if we get involved in the Syrian civil war,” Paul said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Sen. James M. Inhofe, R-Okla., said he doesn’t think Congress would approve such an authorization.
“I don’t think they will,” he said on “Fox News Sunday.” “It may sound real easy when people like Secretary Kerry say that it’s going to be quick and we’re going to go in and send a few cruise missiles, wash our hands and go home. It doesn’t work that way.”
After he concluded his remarks Saturday, Obama ignored a question from the press about whether he would move forward if Congress did not authorize a strike.
“As I said before,” Palin concluded, “if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ at each other, then let Allah sort it out.” » Full Article

FORTY PERCENT OF U.S. COMPANIES TO ALTER HEALTH CARE PLANS, DROP COVERAGE, DUE TO OBAMACARE
Obamacare: Full-Time Jobs Loss, Penalties, Taxes, Fees, Punishments And Jail... Then Death Panels

Heyes, Natural News — As the official start date for Obamacare draws ever closer, there is more evidence that the law simply won't perform as advertised and, in fact, will cause even greater harm to American society than without the "healthcare reform" it was supposedly crafted to deliver.Particularly hard hit will be businesses that are going to be required to provide certain levels of health insurance coverage to their employees. The result is going to be a) higher costs to the businesses' customers; and b) a net loss in employment, especially full-time employment.
A new employer survey has found that a plurality of mid-sized and large businesses - 40 percent of 420 companies surveyed - said they are planning changes to the designs of their insurance plans next year and other changes to reduce employee related costs as a new excise tax imposed by Obamacare approaches with pricier plans.
Also, according to Towers Watson, the firm conducting the survey, 60 percent of companies look at private health insurance exchanges as one way of controlling their healthcare and administrative costs by dumping their employees into the state-run health insurance pools called for under the law - as predicted a couple of years ago.
No Big Changes Soon, But They're Coming
While most of the companies don't yet have near-term plans to make the big dump, clearly, they are coming. The companies who are looking to dump, by the way, collectively employ 8.7 million workers.

The study also found those same companies are increasingly unlikely to offer their employer-sponsored plan for retirees older than age 65 as Obamacare state insurance exchanges go into effect, and as Medicare remains available to those people.
The number of employers either very or somewhat likely to discontinue such plans for those retirees grows from 25 percent in 2014 to 44 percent in 2015, according to Towers Watson, the global professional services company....
Still, the vast majority of the companies - 82 percent - believe it is "important" to offer existing workers subsidized health care, as part of their "employee value proposition" for 2014, the study found.
Also, 98 percent of the employers said they don't have definite plans to discontinue company health insurance plans next year or in 2015 and dump their workers into state exchanges. But how many of those companies will eventually change direction and dump sooner will depend in large part on several factors: how well the exchanges work (no one even knows yet how they will work); overall cost of coverage (will it stay the same, go up or, more likely, increase?); and any political changes to the law.
"Most companies very much still see health-care benefits as a core offering," Ron Fontanetta, a senior health-care consultant at Towers Watson, told CNBC. "It's a very visible benefit, and it garners a lot of attention among executives, in part because it's very visible to employees and also because it costs a lot."
Nevertheless, company-sponsored healthcare changes are afoot, and they are a) directly related to Obamacare; and b) anything but positive.
New Tax Increases Looming
For instance, the Towers Watson study was released on the same day it was reported that UPS told its white-collar employees the company would no longer cover 15,000 working spouses, beginning next year, because of increased medical costs and "costs associated with the Affordable Care Act."
It's not that "greedy American corporations" want to discontinue health insurance coverage. CEOs see such coverage as a necessary perk that attracts a higher quality employee. But the reality is that Obamacare is going to boost costs, so firms are being forced to rethink the benefit.
Companies "are increasingly asking questions about 'where are we taking our future strategy? How does the challenge of offering health care reconcile with our broader financial goals as an organization?'" said Fontanetta. "They want to understand, increasingly, what are the different strategic pathways [the companies] might take," Fontanetta said.
The looming excise tax, by the way, becomes effective in 2018 - one of the law's many penalties, taxes, fees and punishments. » Full Article

RUSH: Senator Cruz, I know you’re limited time here. Thanks very much for joining us. How are you today, sir?
CRUZ: Rush, I’m doing terrific, and it is always a real privilege and honor to join you.
RUSH: Well, I’m glad to have you here. There’s a big argument. Let’s just cut to the chase here on Obamacare. The arguments are: Delay it/defund it. You’re part of the defund it side. You think it can happen via the continuing resolution debate the end of September. The delay crowd and the people opposed to this say, “No, no, no! A government shutdown’s part of this and look what happened the last time the government was shut down in ’95. Look what happened to Republicans then.” How do you deal with this? What do you tell people that raise these objections?
CRUZ: Well, part of the problem with the delay crowd is they don’t have a plan to actually get it done. When they say they want to delay it, what they really mean is they want to take a symbolic vote on a delay but not tie it to anything that has to pass. So the House can take a thousand symbolic votes if they want. Harry Reid will not allow any of them to pass into law. So it becomes an exercise of just political cover rather than actually fixing the problem.
Look, Rush, Obamacare, as you know, is the biggest job killer in the country, and the wheels are falling off of this thing. I mean, there is bipartisan agreement it’s not working. The unions are jumping ship. People are losing their jobs. They’re having their hours forcibly reduced. Just last week UPS told 18,000 employees, “You’re losing your spousal coverage. Your husbands and wives are losing their health insurance because of Obamacare.”
And unfortunately right now, Republicans are still not ready to stand up and do what it takes to stop this law, to listen to the American people and say, “Listen, let’s get rid of this job killer.” The only plan that has been put forward that has any realistic prospect of success, of actually stopping Obamacare, is using the continuing resolution on September 30th and saying, “We will not fund one penny of Obamacare.”

Momentum Builds In Congress To Defund Health-Care Law
Problem #28, Death panels confirmed: Physician and former DNC Chairman Howard Dean wrote an editorial in July essentially confirming Sarah Palin’s contention that Obamacare will have a “death panel.” Palin was excoriated for her assertion by the administration and the mainstream media. PolitiFact.com even dubbed it 2009's “Lie of the Year.” But Dean confirmed the Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB, “is essentially a health-care rationing body” that will “be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them.” The rationing board will decide whether or not some patients get potentially life-saving treatments, which is basically how Palin described “death panel” in her 2009 Facebook post.
