Matthew Burke, TPNN News Editor — Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, forced out of office by bogus lawsuits by leftists only to be cleared of any wrongdoing, says that Barack Obama is a classic radical Marxist, but that people are finally waking up to that fact, and that’s a good thing.In an interview on Newsmax TV’s “America’s Forum,” DeLay, nicknamed “The Hammer,” told J.D. Hayworth, himself a former congressman, that Obama is “as left as you can get, he’s one of those radical leftists, DeLay asserted. “We all know that,” he told Hayworth.
“He is a Marxist. He was raised by Marxist grandparents, he was raised in that community. He is a Marxist and the left has accelerated since he’s been president. That’s the bad news. The good news is the American people are seeing it up front and personal and that’s why you saw the election in 2010 and you’ll see it in this election. The people are starting to reject this leftist progressivism that they know that isn’t America, is not constitutional, and they’re rejecting it and that’s encouraging to me.”
Delay went on to say that the problem with the Republican Party today is that it has no real agenda, and that Americans aren’t exactly happy with Republicans either, predicting that voters will vote against Democrats this cycle.
“I believe what can pull us all together is the Constitution,” Delay affirmed, referring to the rift between grassroots Tea Party members and establishment Republicans. “If we can become the party of the Constitution, the American people, I think, will rally around that,” DeLay predicted.
