With the judgment of Judah looming, Jeremiah, God’s true prophet, was surrounded by competing messages from false prophets. They spoke falsely about God, claiming that all was well and that God would not judge. The people of Judah flocked to these false prophets and clung to their lying “visions” and occult divinations.
Our age is filled with false prophets who deceive, as they hide their true motives of greed and fame. Will we be faithful prophets who champion God’s Word, confronting the idolatry and false teaching around us? Will we present the true gospel of sin, judgment, faith, and repentance?
