President Donald Trump called an emergency meeting on the Fourth of July to formulate a ‘measured response’ to North Korea’s first intercontinental ballistic missile test, amid fears it could reach as far as Alaska.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The United States today confirmed that North Korea did in fact successfully test launch an inter-continental ballistic missile Monday night, a missile that is absolutely of reaching any part of Alaska. Today, President Trump called for an emergency meeting to discuss what the official U.S. response is going to be. Something tells me that it’s not going to be more sanctions.

 VIA EXTERNAL SOURCE ON II&ET — Omar Khadr will receive $10.5 million dollars (CAD) from the Canadian government, according to a Tuesday-published report from The Canadian Press. Citing “an official familiar with the deal,” The Canadian Press reported that Khadr’s legal team and the Canadian government negotiated the deal last month. The Canadian government will also “apologize” to Khadr for unspecified reasons ... He was captured by U.S. military forces in July of 2002 in the failed Muslim-majority state of Afghanistan, following a firefight in which he fought alongside the Taliban. Sergeant First Class Christopher Speer died during the battle, killed by a grenade thrown by Khadr. As an Islamic terrorist operating with the Taliban, Khadr was also involved in the development of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other weapons. In 2010, Khadr plead guilty before a U.S. military tribunal to crimes involving murder.

The Lowe Files docuseries will see the star and his two sons investigate paranormal occurrences, with the encounter with Bigfoot the most disturbing. “We’re 100 miles from the nearest town. We spent 45 minutes on the most rugged, brutal mountain trails. It’s one in the morning. There are a lot of serious former military men with loaded weapons, then something starts approaching our camps that is defying their orders to stop and their warnings that [they were] armed.” The Parks and Recreation actor said he was “genuinely terrified” by the run-in with the mythical animal: “I was lying on the ground thinking I was going to be killed.”
